Condom, egg, and makeup! #wtf

Hey, fellow unicorns! This has to be the single craziest thing that I have ever done and frankly, I had so much fun prepping for this blog Kyun ki pagalpanti Bhi zaroori hai!!! We have so much to deal with in our lives that we completely forget to have some fun and this was basically my sole reason to try out something wacky like this. The Internet is full of wacky AF stuff and not so long ago, there was a trend circulating on the blogosphere about using weird stuff to apply foundation that led to the birth of beauty blenders and silisponge and amazing products like that. But there were also many other products that went viral not because they were amazing but because they were so weird, cringey and straight up funny! The products that got the most momentum was using condoms and eggs to apply foundation that went super viral so I thought why not try these on my blog and see if they were any good and had a blast trying these out for the readers. I took help from my mommy who was kind enough to model the products for me (Her expressions were hilarious when I asked her to model with the condom! Love you mom ❤ !)  Take a look…

When I saw this trend my first reaction was gross since I hate having egg and anything to do with egg freaks me out! But I had to try it, since applying foundation with a boiled egg went so viral. I thought if so many people are trying it would be an amazing substitute to the beauty sponge and it would be good to eat after applying foundation (Talk about hitting two birds with one stone!). I was excited but also disgusted to apply an egg to my face let alone eat it after. I boiled the egg, took my fav combo of two Foundations- Maybelline Fit Me! and L.A. Girl Pro Conceal Foundation and with a heavy heart applied it on my face. And just as I had expected it was a total disaster! :’D The smell itself set me off and once I applied it on my face the egg broke and the foundation was so chunky and disgusting! But I still tried to make it work only to make it even more terrible. The final verdict was that you should use egg only for eating and nothing else but it was super fun trying it out! 😀

When I heard about this trend, I was straight up ROFL but at the same time was curious if it was possible to pull off applying foundation with a condom! So I had to try this out to see if this protection device can actually give me a flawless base (wink wink! :D). I actually had a feeling that dealing with a condom would be a way more interesting experience but to my disappointment, it was a rather ok-ish product to try and trying to apply foundation with an egg was far more chucklesome than a condom. But it did apply my foundation way better than the egg but was still a mess to deal with. Shout out to the blogger who thought of trying something this funny. These trends definitely won’t help if you are getting ready for an important occasion but is a real comical experience and should try it at least once with your BFF’s!

Until next time! ❤

Herb Day 365 cleansing foam- peach review!!

Hey, fellow unicorns! A famous blogger had once said that “Beautiful skin requires commitment and not a miracle” and I, 100% stand for this quote because you cannot expect to have flawless skin by just one trip to the salon because it requires a lot more effort than that and as Lilly Singh says that “You are an Investment”, you should never shy away from taking good care of your skin, pampering it from time to time to get amazing skin and investing in good products irrespective of gender. I am always on a quest for good skin care which will eventually help me use less makeup to hide my flaws because healthy skin is the best foundation you can wear. And nobody does it better than the Koreans because their skin care range is to die for as they usually refrain from using harsh chemicals like parabens, sulfates etc because they can be terrible for the skin. One of the best examples is ‘THE FACE SHOP’ whose products are to die for and are easily available online. Since I have always loved their sheet masks, I wished to try other products from the range when I stumbled upon the Herb day 365 cleansing foam. This product is raved about by many beauty bloggers and vloggers and frankly wanted to know what the hype was about. Check it out…

COST-  Rs- 300 for 170ml

SHELF LIFE-  3 Years

INGREDIENTS-  Water, Myristic Acid, Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Sorbitol, Glycol Distearate, Lauric Acid, Peach Fruit Extract, Horse Chestnut, Saponaria Officinalis Leaf Extract, Alchemilla Vulgaris Extract, Sage, Fragrance, Butylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Yellow 5, Red 33.

HOW TO USE-  Massage over wet face and rinse with lukewarm water.

PACKAGING-  It is a white squeezy tube, quite simple packaging with a cute peach imprinted on the tube.

EXPERIENCE-  When the product arrived at my doorstep, I was pretty impressed with the quantity because it would easily last for two to three months. I selected the peach version but there are 4 more types to select from ie; moong bean, aloe vera, lemon, and spearmint (for men). The paste is pearly white with iridescence that is very pretty to look at. It has a subtle peachy scent nothing too strong. You would only require a small amount as it lathers so well. It completely takes off the makeup (even the stubborn mascara!) and makes the face squeaky clean. It makes the face so soft that the oily skin beauties could get away without moisturizing and that sweet subtle smell lingers which makes it feel like a personal spa session. It claims to be suited for all skin types and it stands proudly on this because my sister being from a dry skin fam loves this cleanser too. It definitely does not irritate your skin and is a very effective cleanser for daily washing the face.

WILL I REPURCHASE-  Definitely, it is a total value for money although I won’t be finishing this tube anytime soon;p

RATING-  Sweet 4/5 ❤

Until next time!!! ❤

The ultimate substitute for chocolate! #delish

Hey, fellow unicorns! Before starting this blog, I would like to thank everyone for the amazing response towards my humble blog. Why am I being so cheesy? It’s because my blog surpassed 1.5K views yesterday (yippee! :D) and I know the numbers are not that huge but it is a milestone for me so thank you for helping me check one off out of my bucket list! ❤ So, most of you would have clicked on the link wondering what the ultimate substitute for chocolate is and no this is no click bait! The ultimate substitute for chocolate is (drum rolls please! :P) NOTHING! There is no substitute for ‘the greatest invention on planet earth’. But I have able to make something that even though is not as satisfying as chocolate but is pretty close when you are craving chocolate but beating yourself up because you started a new diet yesterday! It’s alright we have all been there :D! I am talking about the homemade energy bar that is super easy to make and super healthy that you can munch on without piling up on those nasty no-good calories. I started working out and since I am the biggest chocolate fan you would ever meet, I would have devastating cravings for chocolate especially after a workout so I had to come up with something that is equally tasty but healthy at the same time that’s when I came up with these babies. And the amazing part is that you can customize it with ingredients that you like and by no means have to follow word by word. So let’s get started!

  • Chocolate cookies
  • 1 bowl oats
  • Honey
  • Raisins
  • Dried cranberries
  • Almonds and Pistachios
  • Dark chocolate chips

  • Take the pack of chocolate chip cookies and crush them with a heavy object in a big bowl.
  • Take the oats as much as would like and pour it into the bowl with the crushed cookies and mix them.
  • Add the raisins, cranberries, almonds, pistachios and chocolate chips in the bowl and mix them well.
  • Finally, add honey as per your tolerance for sweetness and mix it all so it becomes sticky enough to stick to your hands.

  • You can either take a stencil or pour it all on the plate and flatten it till it becomes one. The moisture in raisins, cranberries, and honey would help become one product.
  • I used a stencil to make it look presentable for the blog but you can easily flatten it on the plate and put in the refrigerator for a half hour and then cut it in rectangular pieces and munch it whenever you get a chocolate craving.

  • You can add any of your favorite dry fruits with the cookies, oats, and honey and customize it as you want.

Until next time!! ❤

BTS-V inspired outfit! #ootw

Hey, fellow Unicorns! It has been a minute and a half since I have done a #ootd and frankly missed being shy and awkward in front of the camera. So for the first blog of this week, I did not wish to do another simple #ootd but give a little twist to it. I am a huge fan of pop music and recently I was exposed to the talented world of K-POP, which is an abbreviation for Korean pop music and boy was I hooked! So much that my playlist now includes 90% k-pop music and 10% Hollywood or Bollywood music.

Trust me when I say this k-pop is out for world domination and frankly Holly’s and Bolly’s need to learn music from these people especially from my favorite boy band BTS aka Bulletproof Boy Scouts aka Bangtan Boys aka Bangtan Sonyeondan (They are the same band! :D)! These people are so talented and BEAUTIFUL that everyone is charmed by their personality irrespective of gender. Trust me, they will make you question your sexuality! You have been warned (don’t believe me, watch ‘BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TEARS’ from bts and thank me later! :P).IMG_0809

Apart from their talent to sing, dance, rap and have amazing good looks, their fashion game is always on point wherever they go. They don’t shy away from feminine colors and experimentation and that’s why the fans go gaga over them in the entire world. Even though BTS-Jimin is my ultimate fav aka bias, BTS-V’s fashion sense wins me over every single time, especially his look from ‘War of Hormone’ music video where he dresses up as a rockstar with some formal strip pants and the first time when I saw that I knew I had to do #ootd with those pants!

I decided to wear striped leggings with a loose beige button down shirt for some fitting contrast. Recently, I have been obsessed with frames especially the round or ‘Gandhi’ glasses which went perfectly with this look to oomph my outfit. I paired this outfit with my golden Mary Jane’s that tied the whole look together. I wanted to accessorize more but since this was an inspiration and V usually keeps it casual I decided to not add rings or necklaces.

This outfit is perfect for the summer because it is so laid back and stylish at the same time! I had so much fun shooting for this outfit with my good friend Vidhi and was completely satisfied with the look.

I usually don’t like to experiment much but looking at how amazing this look turned out, I definitely want to experiment even more and I recommend you to do the same because this weather is perfect to get your fashion game on!

Until next time!!! ❤

Cheesy chicken nuggets! #delish

Hey, fellow unicorns! It has been a whole entire week since I wrote my last food blog and as a die hard foodie, it was only time till I wrote my next one. I am by no means a professional chef but when I crave some good food and feel totally lazy to step outside, I can be a pretty good cook (with some cuts and bruises of course! :D). Today I was craving something savory and by savory I meant chicken! So I decided to make some chicken nuggets that I could enjoy watching a comedy movie. I went to my refrigerator to rummage through for the ingredients when I saw my good old pal ‘cheese’ and I thought why don’t I make the nuggets with a cheese surprise inside like those cool chefs do because chicken and cheese make a perfect couple for a midday snack and boy was I right! They turned out to be super awesome and it was only fair to share it with my lovely readers. Why don’t you give it a try too and impress everyone with your cooking prowess!

  • 250 gm boneless chicken
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Small amount of coriander
  • 1 Small onion
  • 1-2 green chilies
  • 1tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp chilly flakes
  • Small amount of fresh mint
  • 4-5 garlic cloves
  • Any other spices that you prefer (1tsp would be enough)
  • 1 Boiled potato
  • Cheese cubes
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg

  • This is a pretty simple recipe that can be made within 15-20 minutes.
  • Take a food blender and add the chicken, mashed boiled potato, salt, pepper, coriander, onion, green chilies, ginger garlic paste, oregano, chili flakes, mint, garlic cloves, a few breadcrumbs and blend till it becomes a good dough.

  • Once the dough is ready, make small even balls from the dough and lay it on the parchment paper.
  • Flatten the chicken ball and put a small cube of cheese and roll it back into a chicken ball.
  • Take a bowl and add the egg with a pinch of salt and beat the egg in a good frothy mixture.
  • Take a flat plate and pour the breadcrumbs on the plate for coating.
  • Take the chicken balls, dip them into the egg mixture and immediately coat them with breadcrumbs.

  • Once all the chicken balls are ready and coated deep fry them in medium heat until golden brown and voila they are ready to be snacked on and once you open the chicken ball, you can witness the delicious cheese oozing out which makes it even more appetizing to eat.

Until next time!!

DIY Sheet Masks!!

Hey, fellow unicorns! With the raging trend of skincare all over the world, people are getting more and more aware of the benefits of taking better care of their skin irrespective of the genders. And with the plethora of options available in the market both luxury and drugstore, one product that stands out the most are the sheet masks. The hype of sheet mask originally started from Korea and soon everyone was about that sheet mask life. It is the easiest to apply, gives us the in-home spa session in less than 20 minutes and is available in every single type! They are available for everyone ranging from cheap to the crazy expensive. But whenever a trend catches on, everyone wishes to find an alternative to the product which can be made by our own hands in the comforts of our homes.

So out of curiosity, I was watching videos on YouTube to find DIY’s for sheet masks when I came across an Indian YouTuber where she used face wipes to make her sheet masks. It was a pure genius idea because unlike tissues, face wipes are made of cotton that would not rip easily. So I decided to create my own sheet masks using face wipes. You could literally put any brewed potion of your choice to make a custom sheet mask for your liking. So I gathered some of my favorite home ingredients to make a custom sheet mask for myself and they turned out to be pretty good. It feels absolutely divine to use these after an exhausting day and feel rejuvenated with a baby soft skin.

  •  It is a pretty easy method to make your own sheet masks. I usually take the alcohol-free wipes as alcohol is terrible for the skin, remove the sticky plastic cover, squeeze out the juice in the face wipes (it does not have to be perfect) and keep it for drying for a day.
  • The next day, take a cup of water and add two tablespoons of coffee, green tea, honey, aloe vera gel, washed rice and put it on the stove for boiling.
  • Once the brew is boiled, take it off the stove and strain it through the sieve into another bowl so it would be only liquid.

  • The last step is to pour the liquid slowly into the face wipe pack and let the wipes soak it in after which you could stick the plastic cover back and store it in your refrigerator for that cooling effect.

  • Whenever you feel like applying a sheet mask you could easily pull out the wipes and apply it on the face for 10-15 minutes and voila! you will feel super relaxed and ready to hustle even harder.
  • You could use any ingredients for the brew and also boil some extra coffee water if sheet masks run a little dry.

Until next time!!!

DIY Vision Board!!!

Hey, fellow unicorns! We are back on the hustle train this week #workdontstop! So as I was wondering what I would like to post this week, it made me wonder why would I go through so much effort to fish out content three times a week and go over and about with the stressful preparations where I could easily take up a job to the nearest bank to earn those green notes right away. So to procrastinate, I decided to watch videos on YouTube to pass time or maybe look for some inspiration. I started watching videos of some of my favorite YouTubers like Lilly Singh, Logan Paul, BTS etc.. when I had an epiphany of why I wanted to be a blogger in the first place. I wanted the life that these people had and watching their journey every single day working hard, persevering, and becoming successful at such a young age coming from humble backgrounds was the exact reason why I wanted to be a Digital Influencer/ Creator.

But the issue was that when I would see these videos I would be hyped about creating content and working hard but it faded away as the day proceeded, so I had to create a solution where I would be motivated 24/7 and give birth to my vision babies. Last week when I was reading Lilly Singh’s book ‘How to be a Bawse’, she mentioned this thing called ‘VISION BOARD’ where she made a board and posted all her dreams and aspirations in picture form and put it on the canopy of her bed where she could see it every single day and get motivated and has helped her reach her goals even faster as she constantly saw what she needed to accomplish in her life. When I read this part in the book, I realized that it was a genius idea and wanted to make one of my own.

So I started researching about vision boards and apparently, it is a huge thing and many people found effective to make one and claimed to be more productive when their goals were in front of their eyes every single day. So I decided to hop on this train and make my own vision board but I was confused about what truly motivated me and got me going, so I decided to make a list of things that did excite me on Microsoft Excel. I divided my list into categories like people, things, places, experiences, and quotes and listed everything that I wanted to do in my life, printed the pictures and posted it on my study table because that happens to be a place that I see daily and lemme tell you this that it works like a charm! Whenever I feel uninspired I look on my board of the people I wish to meet in my life, the places I wish to visit or the experiences that I want to get and it gets me going every single time.

The best part of the vision board is that you can customize it the way you want and every single vision board will be unique because you are unique and the board is the figment of your unique imagination. I had a lot of fun making the board because it kinda put my life into perspective a little better. So get up and make your own vision board, decorate it how you wish to and rise to a better future you have always wished for!!

Biotique bio papaya exfoliating face wash review!!

Hey, fellow unicorns!! With the overwhelming response to my blog to starting my passion project once again, it has been an amazing week and to end this week on a productive note, I decided to write this blog about the amazing face product that I have been religiously using for the past month and boy has this product made me proud! I was on a hunt for a new face wash with my friend when I stumbled upon this product. With so many choices, I was totally confused about which one to pick and since I am a girl with extremely sensitive skin issues, usually no product impresses me because it ends up reacting on my face. Since my friend knew about my condition, she pointed out Biotique bio papaya face wash which claimed to have no parabens and made with completely natural ingredients without alcohol which were the sole two reasons that I decided to purchase this product and since then I have been using this product to give my honest review.

COST- Rs- 60/- for 50ml and Rs-110/- for 100ml

SHELF LIFE-  3 years

INGREDIENTS-  Papita juice 3%, Akhrot Shell Powder 3%, Neem Bark 5%, Banhaldi Tuber 2%, Ritha Fruit 8%, Kikar Gond 2%, Moongphali Tail 1.5%, Purified water.

HOW TO USE- Gently massage over wet face and neck with fingertips, lather and rinse, morning and evening.

PACKAGING- The packaging is quite simple. It is a plastic squeeze tube with a good sturdy top which will not spill what so ever (trust me I have tried!) nothing fancy.

EXPERIENCE-  Frankly I was quite suspicious if this face wash would actually work on my skin as the price point was so low and it claimed to have therapeutic properties and mentioned that it was not a cosmetic product, I thought that it would be a total gimmick that would not work but I was pleasantly surprised the results. It has a beautiful fragrance (nothing overwhelming) which lingers when you wash the face. Even after using for a month, I did not have a reaction on my face which was a straight up miracle for me. The small beads in the gel gently massaged the skin without over-exfoliating giving a soft as a baby’s butt feeling after every wash. It did not do any wonders on my skin but was an amazing substitute for the harsh soap. The best part about this face wash was that it helped remove all the makeup which was an added bonus.

WILL I REPURCHASE?   Definitely!! It was a good value for money and lived up to all the claims. Overall, this product is definitely worth giving a try.

RATING-  A strong 4.5/5!!

Until next time!!!! ❤

Chocolate filled choco chip cookies! #delish

Hey, fellow unicorns! Monsoon is finally here which makes it the perfect season to enjoy long evening drives and delicious sweet and savory foods with our loved ones especially after the scorching heat wave that we call “summer” in Mumbai that literally makes us judge our / our parent’s decision of moving to a hot country instead of staying in an igloo in Antarctica :D. But as soon as it starts pouring the same place becomes a paradise and staying in an igloo becomes an impossible feat. And the best part of this season is the scrumptious food that we get to eat overlooking a pristine and romantic vista of the Mumbai city. My personal fav is the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and like a wise man once said, ” Life is so much better with some freshly baked cookies”, I decided to make some cookies in mi casa. I, by no means, am a professional chef but the lovely weather was an inspiration to get my inner Sanjeev Kapoor on and guess what they turned out to be amazing! (*gives a pat on the back :p). So it was only fitting to share my silly version of baking with you cause sharing is caring <3. Have a look…

Things you will need-

  • 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence
  • Pinch of salt (to enhance the taste)
  • ½ cup choco chips
  • Any chocolate bar or nutella

Serves up to 7 large or 14 small cookies.

Let’s put it together-

  • Take a large mixing bowl, add butter and sugar to whisk it properly till it becomes one big gooey mixture.
  • Add vanilla essence, salt, egg and whisk again until it becomes a light and fluffy mixture (Don’t worry if the mixture is a bit runny, it will all come together)
  • Add baking soda to all purpose flour and sift the flour and soda through the sieve to remove any lumps.
  • Melt the chocolate beforehand to use it as your filling in the cookie.
  • Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture in two portions and mix it till well combined.
  • If the mixture is too gooey, you can always some more flour or refrigerate it for 2-4 hrs or overnight preferably. When the dough is ready it should look something like this-

  • Once the dough is ready, pat little flour on your hand so that the dough doesn’t stick to the hand and make small or large balls from the cookie dough.
  • Once the balls are made, flat it on your palms and put small amount of melted chocolate in the cookie and roll it back carefully into a ball (You could put chocolate cubes too)It should look something like this-

  • Before making the balls preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Grease the baking pan or use a baking sheet and put the dough balls with some distance between them.
  • Put it in the oven for around 20-25 minutes or till the cookie becomes golden brown whichever comes first.
  • Sprinkle it with some more choco chips and voila it’s ready to be eaten! Enjoy!!!

Until next time!!!! 😉

6 items every girl needs to complete her wardrobe!

Hey, fellow unicorns! It’s been quite some time since I sat in front of my laptop and did the one thing that excites and challenges me the most- the love of writing! Trust me there were so many reasons why I should have given up but I decided to listen to that small insecure voice in my gut that told me to start this thrilling journey once again with a bang. With my graduation and exams officially over, there couldn’t be a more perfect time to get my head back in writing. Since this blog is mainly based on my love for fashion, it was only fitting that I started by writing something on (surprise!) fashion. As I was contemplating the theme that I would use for my same #ootd and be raiding my closet to find pieces to make a cute outfit, it made me wonder what made a wardrobe complete- the answer is everything!! But what were the items that I would need to get almost all of my #ootd a success? Yup, you guessed it right! I am talking about the unsung heroes of fashion that people tend to neglect but are of absolute importance when it comes to making or breaking an outfit. So I gathered the pieces and called my dearest absolutely gorgeous friend to help me shoot these items and she made me proud by looking stunning in every picture! So here are the basic pieces that every girl needs in her wardrobe-

  • A stunning white top You may have hundreds of tops in your closet with all the colors of the rainbow, but one thing that usually stands out the most and this is my personal fav is a classic white tee. you could experiment this color with almost anything and everything. Pair these with some statement pieces and you can rock the outfit anytime be it day or night.

  • Black jeans – If we talk about having a white tee is a must, how could we forget the charm and sexiness black jeans brings to an outfit. It goes with almost everything and makes you look like a goddess.

  • ballerinas or Flats – Even if we go gaga over the latest trends of heels and cannot get enough even with ten pairs of heels that look exactly the same and still not feel content (me!!), the one item that we always wish for after wearing those cruel sky high heels are the flats. They are a girl’s ultimate weapon to stay sane and with two functioning feet. Cute flats always make the outfit pretty so having them in the closet is a total no brainer.

  • Scarves-  These are perhaps the most underrated item is a girl’s closet, but have the power to make a meh outfit totally awesome. And with the variety of designs available, they deserve an honorary space in the wardrobe.

  • Statement jewelry – There are times when you imagine an outfit to be perfect but once you put it on it doesn’t look as good as you thought it would be, ya that’s basically my everyday problem! But that does not mean that the outfit is bad, it just needs a boost. Like salt enhances the taste of the food, so does a pair of statement jewelry. It completely transforms a boring look to a beautiful look.

So these are my list of items that I feel is absolutely necessary to complete your wardrobe. Now you would say I had six items to share but I only mentioned five. This is because the sixth and the most important accessory you would have is your smile! (cheesy right?). But with all honesty, even if your outfit is perfect but if you don’t feel happy about it even the most expensive outfit will look like shit but if you have a positive attitude even the cheapest dress will bring out the best in you! I guess this is all I have to share for now and I hope you guys found this blog interesting and fun to read! Until next time!! ❤
